Can Birthday Parties Get A life??

Instead of parties at 'malls' why not give children a beautiful gift of learning something new on his/her birthday. Each child chooses an activity and does it in the party. I will get material and will show how to do it and children make. I can be contacted on 09555705739 for birthday parties.
I have conducted these parties and it becomes one of the most memorable gift you can give your child as his/her friends cherish the experience...

We can also do projects like the ones listed below. The idea is to help children see how these things are not 'beyond them'. They are day to day things that can be easily made. Then one can delve deeper into the application of similar principles to create other devices and machines.
  • Water Level Indicator
  • Intercom
  • Torch Light
  • Electric Bell
  • Windmill Generator
  • Water Turbine
  • Solar Light
  • Solar Bell
  • Telescope
  • Periscope
  • Traffic Lights
  • Motor Based vehicles
  • Hand pump
  • rain water harvesting models
  • Kitchen garden and crops ( that will mean growing winter crops in October for now- carrot, radish, mustard etc)
Any other projects that you might want to suggest can also be made.I would be glad to work on projects with children in groups too.

"Doing Science" can be a gateway to developing the love for science...

Possible Science Projects

Electricity-from-solar-energy
This project is effective in demonstrating the process of conversion of solar energy into electrical energy. This project is possible with children of grade III and IV onwards.

Electricity-from-flowing-water
This project enables the kids to understand exactly how electricity is generated from flowing water. Comprising all the necessary components, this project is simple to assemble and can be worked upon with ease.

Electricity-from-speed-breaker
With the aid of electricity-from-speed-breaker provided by us, kids can easily gain knowledge of the process. They are provided a better understanding of the fact that exactly how electricity is obtained from a speed breaker.

Wind-mill-generator--model
The wind-mill-generator-model depicts a wind turbine that helps in the extraction of energy from wind. A rotary device, this model of wind mill generator gives an idea of how the wind mill works and serves the required purpose.

I can also do other projects like the ones listed below. The idea is to help children see how these things are not 'beyond them'. They are day to day things that can be easily made. Then one can delve deeper into the application of similar principles to create other devices and machines.

Schools are places where children stop thinking gradually. The mind that has so many questions slowly loses its brilliance. The hands are engaged in a mindless activity called writing, sorry, copying off the board. Let us keep our children's mind alive. Let them be the way they came into this world- curious...
Can you learn science?
Exploring Science is an attempt to help children develop the love for science by active involvement in activities. Activities that help them think scientifically and not learn 'science'.

I may not be highly educated (thankfully) but I understand children and I love Science. I have taken help to make this blog and not made it myself. I am comfortable speaking in Hindi and have faced no hudles in communication with children so far and have realised in the process that it is the inquiry and the way it is led that matters and not the language.
I have learnt from life, not from text books. I would love to meet you and look at how we can make children's minds more alive and connected with the world around them. A mind that thinks and does not become a mental printing press of someone else's thought. Let us see how our children think.
Have we ever allowed them to?
